Help us keep solar in Framingham's budget

Show your support at City Council on May 7

Wonder why other towns have solar and we don’t?

It comes down to how much the public shows they want it in their community.

Here is your chance to show the Mayor and City Council that you want solar on Framingham’s public buildings.

Attend the City Council meeting May 7!

It’s budget season and the City Council is beginning to take up Mayor Sisitsky’s FY25 Capital Budget. The submitted budget defers the proposed solar panels for the roof of the Farley school administration building — which would be only the fourth city building with solar— and also defers a citywide solar study.

Energize Framingham is working to demonstrate public support to keep these items in the budget since solar installations reduce greenhouse gas emissions and will save the city money through electricity generation.

Show support with your presence us as we present to the City Council on May 7.

When: Tuesday, May 7, 2024, 7 p.m.

· In person: Blumer Room, Memorial Building, 150 Concord Street

You can also reach out to your city councilor directly (find your precinct and councilor here) and sign our petition.

 Sincerely,
